I am working toward building a video based ministry page for a minister. She wants to do blogs that have audios or videos in them and to have a sort of gallery where people can find the videos later. (Audios will be separately displayed/listed I guess or they would have to be associated with an image.)

Does the image gallery support videos too— it seems that it SHOULD since the image can have a link to the place where the actual video is stored.

I am looking for a plug in that will automatically pull in the required image etc from a video stored on YouTube, Vimeo, Audio Acrobat or some of the other storage tools.

Does this one do that? AND how many can you have on the carousel?
    Thanks much!

Our plugin, Video Showcase, also in this same DisplayBuddy series, is able to pull in the images from YouTube and Vimeo and then play them on click. It may be more of what you are looking for. This plugin, Carousel, would require you to manually add those images and then link to the videos. Hope this helps!

Also, there is not a limit on the number of images you may have in the Carousel.

    Greetings!
Is there a way, in the carousel, to CLICK on an image and have it blow out to a larger scale, sort of like a light box effect?

    thanks!

@Josh: There is a WordPress plugin, “Shadowbox JS”, which when installed will make images pop up like that from the Slideshow.

I need a gallery plugin that will allow site users to upload to it as well. can carousel do this? Looked at photosmash, it is what I need but the developer is pulling it.

Carousel currently requires admin area access to add images to it. There’s not really a way for users to be able to add images.
